I'm trying to develop a comprehensive nutrition and exercise program for myself. Taking all the things I love concerning work outs and mashing them together. Keeping things different all the time so my body is always challenging itself in new ways.
The nutrition portion is throwing me a huge curve ball. There is so much information out there! What I know is, what I'm doing isn't working...not really anyway. I keep thinking, "if you continue to do what you always do, you'll continue to look like you always have." My goal is the opposite of course.
I lost 15 pounds and them, bam! Nuthin' This sucks. Am I not taking in enough carbs? Am I taking in too many carbs? Should I try keto (again)? Maybe my fats are too high. Are my calories too high? They seem like they shouldn't be...oh my God what if I'm not eating enough!?! You see my dilemma? Drives me fuckin' crazy.
As far as work outs are concerned, I'm going to be throwing some different things into the mix so I'm not too terribly worried about that side. I'm also going to make sure to MOVE every chance I get. If I have the opportunity to do some push ups, then I better get myself on the floor and do the damn thing! The work out portion isn't hard..it's fun. The diet..ugh.
My question to anyone that might happen upon this here post is, what do you do for pre workout nutrition? I have been eating a bowl of unsweetened oatmeal and hour to an hour and a half prior to my work outs. I'm thinking of switching my oatmeal to after my work outs. I take in virtually no carbs post work out.
Another question. Am I over thinking this? Maybe I just need to bust my ass in the gym, down my chicken and tilapia and tough it out. Slip ups not allowed...ever.
*sigh* feedback is appreciated my friends...
